Celeste E. Lengerich creates paintings that calm the heart. 

After mourning the deaths of her husband and mother in 2015, Celeste started painting florals and landscapes to help process her grief. In her floral paintings she uses symbolic imagery to tell a story about the beauty of life, love, and death. The St. Mary’s River and the Spy Run Creek, which flow behind her studio, are the sources of inspiration for her landscape paintings. Through her paintings the artist aims to elicit a feeling of peace, serenity, and hope.
